Hawkfinder Transmitters

We produce a range of Transmitters operating on UK/EU allocated bands The systems can operate on the UK VHF frequency 173 MHz , (173.225), the worldwide frequency 433/434 MHz UHF, (433.92), and the obsolete UHF frequency 418 MHz. (mainly for compatibility with friends/clubs). We can supply CE compliant transmitters for most systems which have been sold legally in the UK, but we DO NOT supply on 216 MHz.

Our new rectangular loop spring prong, for both ST and open frame models, reduces transmitter cross section by 20%, by eliminating the need to tape on the clip.

Hawktrack: 11 mm diameter x length 34 mm
Micro-X: 9 x 12 x 25 mm

Channels 0 & 7 (Green 2 & 3) are outside the UK bandplan. However, the transmitters are available with a short lead time.

Transmitter Tone Pattern

There are two tone patterns available.

These can be readily distinguished by their different pulse rate, & so assist with tracking a second bird on the same channel. The battery life is unaltered.

It is VITAL that you select a tone pattern if you wish to track a second bird on the same channel. Otherwise you do not need to select this option

Transmitter Tags

There are different antenna colour tags availabe, which may be used to distinguish channel & tone patterns.

For VHF they are coloured yellow
For UHF (433) they are coloured blue
For UHF (418) they are coloured blue
For Slow tone pattern, they have an additional coloured band
