- Quick
Release - bird can be instantly
slipped at quarry. No more changing of
jesses to fly bird

jesses, made from leather which is stronger
and somewhat stiffer than that normally
used, with only a small hole at the end. -
tested under the most rigorous scrub-hawking
conditions with Harris. The jesses do not
tangle, snag, or pendulum around branches.
Tight fit of jesses through bearings -
cannot be pulled out by bird when flying
free. The back talon cannot catch in the
eyelet because of the presence of the
bearing

- high quality, forged brass pin locking
Marine shackles (swivelling at bird end)
with phosphor bronze springs, which offer
100% security, extremely high strength, &
resistance to corrosion.
- Tangle-free
- Shielded, stainless steel Ball Bearing
anklets - the jesses cannot twist if the
bird steps over its jess. Anklets are
replaceable
- Simple
- no Falconer's knot to learn, or make a
mistake with. No special tools - the anklets
are fixed with rivets. Tubular crushable
rivets, & pop rivets with backing
washers both supplied.
- Adjustable
- 3' (1m) leash features strong Kevlar
reinforced polyester (terylene) cord, with
bonded figure of eight knot and leather
button at each end. A simple overhand stop
knot or, if desired, a Falconer's knot, can
be tied at the fixed shackle end to shorten
the tethering length. The system is also
suitable for use on a screen-perch.
- The jesses are
also compatible with our safety leashes, and
creance clips.

When carrying the
bird the recommended procedure is to allow the
full leash length, and loop the excess onto the
little finger. This prevents tangling during a
bate better than shortenning the leash, and also
allows you to hop the bird a full leash-length if
required.
